Why I Do This Work

My name is Omanie, but years ago my first born daughter blended “Mom” and my name together and started calling me “Momanie” (pronounced Momma-Knee). The name stuck, and over time it became much more than a nickname. It became a reflection of the way I move through life: leading with care, protection, and family at the center of everything I do.

Today, as a mother of four daughters, I understand deeply how important it is to not only live well, but to plan well too. Protecting the people we love and preparing for life’s unexpected moments is one of the greatest acts of care we can give our families.

I’ve spent years working closely with individuals and families across hospice, long-term care, healthcare, and nonprofit settings, often during some of the most vulnerable moments in their lives.

Through those experiences, I’ve seen firsthand the difference it makes when a plan is in place… and the stress, confusion, and uncertainty families face when one isn’t.

I’ve supported families who were able to focus on being present with one another because important decisions had already been made, and I’ve also seen loved ones left trying to piece everything together during incredibly painful moments.

Those experiences stay with me.

This work isn’t just about policies or numbers. It’s about helping protect the people, goals, and future that matter most to you in a way that genuinely fits your life.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need life insurance if I already have coverage through my job?

Many workplace policies only remain active while you’re employed. Having personal coverage can help ensure protection stays with you regardless of career or life changes.

What types of coverage do you help with?

I currently focus on helping individuals and families with:

  • Final Expense Coverage (burial)
  • Mortgage Protection
  • Family Life Insurance Planning
Do you work with one insurance company?

No. As a broker, I work with multiple insurance carriers to help find options that best fit your needs and budget.

Will I be pressured into buying something?

Absolutely not. My goal is to help educate and guide you through your options so you can make the decision that feels right for you and your family.

Why do I need to provide personal information like my birth date, social security number, or banking information?

Life insurance companies use personal information to verify identity, review eligibility, securely process applications, and help prevent fraud. Information such as your date of birth, social security number, health history, and payment details help ensure accurate coverage and policy setup.

Many carriers also use secure bank draft payments for ongoing premiums because they are reliable and help reduce the risk of missed payments, lapses in coverage, or the need to repeatedly update payment information if cards expire or change.

I understand this information is personal, which is why transparency and trust are important to me throughout the process. Your information is submitted securely and only used for the purpose of exploring and applying for coverage with licensed insurance carriers.

You should never feel pressured to share information before understanding why it’s needed, and I’m always happy to answer questions along the way.

What if we never meet in person?

Many life insurance conversations today happen securely over the phone or virtually, especially when working with individuals and families across different cities and states. Even if we never meet in person, my goal is to make sure you feel informed, comfortable, and supported throughout the process.

I believe trust is built through transparency, communication, and taking the time to answer your questions clearly. I’m also happy to connect by phone or video call when possible so you can feel confident about who you’re working with.

You should never feel rushed or pressured, and I encourage people to ask questions, verify information, and move forward only when they feel comfortable.

How long does the process take?

In many cases, we can review options and complete an application in about 20–30 minutes depending on your needs and health history.

Can I still qualify if I have health conditions?

Many people are surprised to learn they may still have coverage options available even with certain health conditions, past diagnoses, or other life circumstances.

As a broker, I work with multiple insurance carriers, which allows me to help explore options for a wide range of situations. Every carrier has different guidelines, and coverage eligibility ultimately depends on factors such as age, health history, medications, and the type of coverage requested.

Some common conditions people often ask about include:

  • High blood pressure
  • Diabetes
  • High BMI
  • Anxiety or depression
  • Certain cancer histories
  • Other chronic health conditions
  • Incarceration

My goal is to help guide you through your options with honesty, compassion, and without judgment or pressure.

Why is planning ahead so important?

Life can change unexpectedly, and too often families are left making emotional and financial decisions during some of the hardest moments of their lives.

Planning ahead helps create protection, stability, and peace of mind for the people you love most. It can help cover things like funeral expenses, mortgage payments, outstanding debts, everyday living costs, or simply give your family time and breathing room to grieve without immediate financial pressure.

Through my years working in hospice and healthcare, I’ve seen firsthand the difference it makes when families have a plan in place versus when they don’t. Having coverage isn’t just about preparing for death, it’s about protecting your loved ones, preserving dignity, and making sure difficult moments aren’t made even harder financially.
